Record. Mix. Master.
Your own music.
It isn't about recording one song.
It's about learning a formula you can apply to every single song you ever record.
See an entire song recorded, mixed and mastered live over 2 days.
Before you decide
A few honest things
Most musicians think every song requires a different approach.
It doesn't.
Discover the simple, repeatable formula you can apply to every single song you record.
Sound familiar?
- You've watched YouTube but still feel lost
- You've bought equipment but aren't getting the sound you hoped for
- You'd rather learn in person than alone, online
Good news: you don't need expensive equipment or experience, just a willingness to learn.
Let's be honest.
This won't turn you into a Grammy-winning engineer in a weekend.
It will give you a clear process you can keep using long after the seminar ends.
The two-day in-person breakdown
Day one, we record a song.
Day two, we make it sound great.
See exactly how a song is recorded, start to finish
We record drums, guitar, bass, keys, and vocals live, so you see exactly how it's done.
Mixing & mastering
A simple process for mixing and mastering your song until it's polished and ready to release.
By Sunday afternoon you'll know exactly what to do every time you record.
Your instructor
Hi, I'm Richard.
Founder of Digital Recording Seminars
I've spent over 30 years recording music, and I've used that time figuring out what actually works, then simplifying it so it's not complicated to learn. I started these seminars because I kept meeting people who wanted to record their own songs but didn't know where to start.
Teaching is genuinely what I enjoy most, I keep it fun and simple rather than technical and intimidating, and everything follows a clear, step-by-step process so nothing feels overwhelming.
What students say
Real feedback from musicians who've transformed their recording
"I've recorded three songs since the seminar and each one's gone faster than the last. Didn't expect to walk away with an actual system, not just notes."
Phil M."I'd been trying to piece this together from YouTube for about two years. Richard cleared up more in a weekend than all of that did."
Mike R."Small group, so you can actually ask questions instead of just watching a screen for six hours. That alone was worth the drive from Hamilton."
Paul L."I went in not knowing what a compressor even did. Left with a process I actually understand and still use every time I sit down to record."
Peter J."Recorded my first real song the weekend right after the seminar. Six months later I'm still using the same workflow, just faster now."
Paul R."Good pace, no filler. I already owned an interface but had no idea what I was doing with it, now I'm not guessing at every step."
